A $1.6B national, transportation and logistics firm chose PiiComm’s managed mobility services to manage in excess of 6,500 mobile devices. This decision was made after it determined that the mobile device manufacturer’s warranty agreements were insufficient for their fleet management and support requirements.
PiiComm was engaged to provide such managed mobility services as: spares management, asset inventory management and tracking, real-time fleet analytics, web-ticketing and repair management. The devices are considered a mission-critical component of the business and the tolerance for downtime is an hour or less.
The resulting engagement consisted of a suite of standard and customized services supported by a fully-managed spares program to ensure that users whose devices became inoperable were promptly provided fully-configured replacement units.

Ten months after implementation, forty customer contacts with daily administrative responsibility for mobile devices, were surveyed to determine their level of satisfaction with PiiComm’s services.
